Jean -- Thank you for your reply. I descend from Samuel Damron and his first wife, Sarah (Sally) Ratliff. I have traced many of Samuel's lines, both with Sarah Ratliff as well as Sarah Smith. Ken Dyer has much knowledge of these lines and he was a great help to me also. I guess you know that Samuel, between his two wives, had 22 or 23 children! I have spent over 20 years trying to sort it all out -- it's quite a challenge! Although I have attended all the Damron reunions at Cabwaylingo to date, I'm not sure whether I will be able to make this year's reunion or not. Hopefully all the new construction will be finished in time for the August (16th to 24th) meeting. Would love to see you there if you are able to attend. If I can be of any help with providing some Damron info, please let me know. Hi Bert, Thank you for the dates for the reunion. I would love to go to one even though my husband is the one decended from Sarah Smith and Samuel Damron. When I first started looking for the family, I was in total shock when I found the two families. Now I find that there were many families that had the same problem. I almost trying to figure it out until Kenneth helped me and also my cousin Gerald Linville. Gerald is my husband's fourth cousin and also my fourth cousin. I love doing family history and wish I could be there in WV to work more on the family. I have met so many nice people and found out they were related to my husband Ray or to myself. Thank You, Jean Collins Terry
