Lula's ancestral homeland is Tazewell Co., Va., and she has spent many years researching her and allied families in the New River Valley, including Montgomery Co., Va. She has deciphered many new names, dates, and events, as well as military, trade and travel entries from a new photocopy of the diary. Archibald wrote "Farewell to Sweet Ireland Wherein I Was Bred." However, we've been unable to find when the family emigrated or where they disembarked in America. I am pasting below some wntries from the transcript that I hope someone can help me to identify: PAGE 100 March 1760 George Dair Scalpt att Masons and one Indian killed att Beens and one killed att Kneelys.
