Thank you so much for that, it was wonderful, and yet so true. This is why we look for hours on end to find these wonderful people in our passed that makes us the people we are today. Bless you for that and may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving too Mary Don't blame me, I voted for the other guy. > [Original Message] > From: <Causbymarshall08@wmconnect.com> > To: <WVMINGO-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: 11/23/2004 10:55:10 AM > Subject: [WVMINGO] Happy Thanksgiving > > The pilgrims came across the sea > and never thought about you and me > yet its very strange the way > how we thing of them Thanksgiving Day > > We tell the story old and true > of how they sailed across the blue > and built their homes close to the sea > to worship God as they pleased > > As a genealogist old or new > we look for facts to prove > when our forefathers sailed the blue > and where they landed to start anew > > we search the records of births and deaths, marriages, census, > taxes and all the news, > Just to prove who belongs to you > > I'm thankful for all the work that was done since they con ashore > For my freedom and so much more > I thank you Veterans who gave so much > And my forefathers whom I research > > I'm glad this land is still free > And for God who watches over you and me. > > Happy Thanksgiving > Pray for our soldiers and our Country > Causby > > > ============================== > OneWorldTree - The World's largest family tree. I agree too. My 11th gr-grandfather on another line came over on the Mayflower. He was a valet to the Governor's Barrister. The Governor and the Barrister signed the Mayflower Compact, but as an endentured servant,he could not. Mary I can say the same as you. Don't blame me I voted for the other guy too. I am a 5th generation Democrat. My Father would come out of the grave and kick my fanny. Mickey Lambert Southeast Illinois Researching: Lambert,Harper,McCoy,Spencer,Shaffer,Rice, and Acord.
