For all of you Browning family members I remembered something that I had forgotten about long ago. When I was growing up in Robertson County, Tennessee, my best friend and I became friends with some of the kids in the next town. There two boys who were cousins. One was named Browning and the other Brown. Could this be one of those cases where one branch of the family shorten their name for whatever reason? Anita McClung Fayette County, WV
