    3. These items were in my mothers scrapbook. Since they are they I am lead to believe that they are some how related. Mom and her family are gone so finding info on these families have been VERY hard, Any Help would be appreciated. Obit Jeff Muncey( no date) Sixty one years old, of Kermit Route 1. Graveside services at Anderson Cemetery on Jenny's Creek by Rev. Tom Messer and Rev. Birdie Spaulding. Survivors include widow, Sally Muncey, one son Birdie Muncey, three daughters, Mrs. Dicy Hodge and Mrs. Mary Waller, and Mrs. Lucy Marcum, two brothers, George and Melvin. five sisters, Victoria Muncey, Sally Stepp, Mrs. Maretta Hodge, Mary Muncey, and Nora Lee Compton. Messer Family The article is several pages long. I would be more than glad to copy and mail them out to you. These were 5 members from the Hardin Messer family. The family was from Stone Coal. It is dated January 13, 1969. It mentions Rev. Thomas Messer. Burial was in Messer Cemetery in Stone Coal. Riley Varney Obit Death that followed a 2 year illness claimed Riley Varney of Taylorville, who retired after more than 35 years of public service to Mingo Co. He retired in 1957 after 6 terms as Mingo Co.Circuit Court Clerk. During the 35 year span he was an active Democratic supporter. He was born Jan 8, 1892 on Pigeon Creek son of the late Andrew Varney and Della Spaulding Varney. His first wife was Dollie Evans Varney, who survives. Widow, Mattie Varney, Children, Mrs. Eldo Faith, sons Clinton Varney, Reed, Don James, William Riley Varney. And aunt Elsie Varney and Belle Musick. arrangements at Allen Funeral Home. Semper Fi.
