No, my husband's people were from south eastern and then north eastern Ohio. I haven't done anything on their line, but I suspect they came from PA before Ohio. I have heard, however, that there was a Sampselle around Williamson, Mingo Co. very early. Seems like I heard he was a lawyer??? Don't know if he's any relation or not.
