    2. I live in WV and I love it, I've lived in other states, but there is no place like WV nor its' people. I was born in Mingo, shopped in Logan, now I live in Wayne Co., I've always been a country girl, and hope to stay that way. I think it's wonderful to look out and see what God created. Living in the city, you see what man made, but living in the country you see what God made. You always want to go where you were the happiest, and that is most likely your childhood. Causby

    2. Hello cousins and friends, I have always been curious to know how many of us actually have the pleasure of residing in West Virginia. I know that many of us originate from this great state, but how about a poll, so that we who do not live there can envy those of you who do. I for one do "not" have the joy of living in the state where I was born, wonderful West Virginia:( Do you? Judi Clark

    2. Bert Damron
    3. Jean -- Thank you for your reply. I descend from Samuel Damron and his first wife, Sarah (Sally) Ratliff. I have traced many of Samuel's lines, both with Sarah Ratliff as well as Sarah Smith. Ken Dyer has much knowledge of these lines and he was a great help to me also. I guess you know that Samuel, between his two wives, had 22 or 23 children! I have spent over 20 years trying to sort it all out -- it's quite a challenge! Although I have attended all the Damron reunions at Cabwaylingo to date, I'm not sure whether I will be able to make this year's reunion or not. Hopefully all the new construction will be finished in time for the August (16th to 24th) meeting. Would love to see you there if you are able to attend. If I can be of any help with providing some Damron info, please let me know. 3. Hello Bert, My husband decends from Samuel Damron and Sarah Smith. Samuel Damron parents were Lazarus Damron and Nancy Short. Lazarus Damron parents were Moses Damron and Aggie Owl. Kenneth Dyer helped me with the Damron family or I would never have figured it out. Kenneth was so nice to help me. Are you going to the Damron reunion at Cabwaylingo Park this year. I have not got to go to the reunion yet but I keep hoping. Jean Collins Terry

    3. Judi, would you send me a copy of your James & Sarah Ann Baisden Clark? Even though they are not in my lines, she is tied into my Baisden's and I like to have pictures of family no matter how distant. Shelby & I both come through John & Tena Dempsey Baisden. thanks, Johnny jegto@alltel.net ----- Original Message ----- From: <judinclark@sbcglobal.net> To: <WVMINGO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 22, 2004 11:26 PM Subject: Re: [WVMINGO] Baisden > Hi, > No, I have never talked to anyone about my Baisden work. no, I talked with > Shelby on the Logan list. > He descends from Joseph. > I will appreciate anything to add to my twigs. > I have a picture of my great grandparents James Lewis Clark and Sarah Ann > Baisden-Clark. > Maybe Wilna you say will jump in here with us. > Thanks so much, Judi >

    3. BlankJudi, I descend from Solomon and Joseph's sister, Polly Baisden - 1799 md. John Smith Blair, so we share the Baisden and Branham line. John S. Baisden is my 3rd G-Grandfather and David Branham is my 4th G-Grandfather. The 1840 census has John S. Baisden in the house of my ancestors John Blair and Polly Baisden in Lenore, listed as 90 years old and receiving a pension. I strongly believe that Solomon Baisden of Georgis is a brother to our John Smith Baisden. I don't have anything on your Sarah Ann but...I have some info on William and Mary White Baisden's son John Henry Baisden and Celia Ann Jeffrey Gilman if you would like that. Mainly their children. Have you talked with Wilna Baisden, she probably monitors the list ?
