    3. Judin, my late mother's( Norma Burgess' ) website has many Mingo Photos( she was originally from Mingo, as were all of her relatives). Posted are some are very old photos while some are contemporary. I can assist in downloading and send by e-mail requested photos. I looked through the Logan Banner via the URL that you posted, didn't see any article re:requests for Mingo pics. Did I miss it? Thanks, Gail Burgess

    3. Hello, I found a birth record for an unnamed male Chafin. A child of, looks like Burgett but I believe its Burgess Chafin and Sadie Dorton. Does anyone know who this child might be or have any info on Sadie Dorton Chafin? My problem is that Burgess Chaffin died in 1919 and is not on the 1920 census and Sadie probably remarried. The time and place are right for the child of Burgess Chafin and from family info this all fits. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks....................Kathy

I have heard, however, that there was a Sampselle around Williamson, Mingo Co. very early. Seems like I heard he was a lawyer??? Don't know if he's any relation or not.
