Barb It is just the one that you can get from the Logan County Chamber of Commerce I think, you can see where to order it from on the Logan County Page. IT is probably the same one that you have. I think this one was written by Ragland? There is another larger Davis cemetary WAY..........up Den Branch Road.....and I mean W...A....Y..... up there.along with about three more....... "Preacher.....
I remember seeing a Meade cemetery close by there, however I have never been there. In the Davis cemetery up on Old Field Branch there is a burial site for a Mary MEADE Fultz The Davis cemetary is not too far up the left hand fork of Oldfield Branch, just off route 52. The Meade Cemetary is up the right fork of Oldfield Branch a ways past the Oldfield school. This is according to the map I have.....(Travel Maps USA...) "Preacher"
Janice and others that have inquired. Martha Evans was the daughter of Lowery Evans (b. Va.) who m. Lucy Young in Louisa, Ky. Her sibs. were Francis Marion, Elizabeth, Susan, and Hastins (Hastings). They lived at Den Branch, near Naugatuck, WV. "Preacher"
I was told about records in Richmond, Va. that stated: Aracoma, daughter of Chief Cornstalk, was Killed by settlers and buried at the mouth of Old Field Branch. I know her husband used to steal horses and hide them out on Horsepen Mountain, a few miles up Pigeon Creek, from Old Field Branch. Does anyone have information or know of this Indian burial site at Old Field Branch? Dan Maynard

There are a couple of Starr family cemeteries in the Belo area of Mingo County. One is located just about a mile from the junction of 119 South & Rt 65. It is just at the entrance to Conley Branch Hollow. My great-great grandparents, aunts & uncles are buried there. The other one is located just a 1/2 mile north of there, on Caney Branch Hollow. My great grandparents, aunts & uncles are also buried there. Both cemeteries are located on private property. The one at Conley Branch is no problem to go research. My family lives right across the creek from it! If you need further info, please let me know! Dianna
K, I'm not sure about which book you are referring to but am very interested in any book dealing with the history of Logan County. I have History of Logan County, the Early Years but it list (to my understanding) John Deskins and Isaac Brewer as sons of Sally Roark. Of course I have heard it mentioned numerous time that this book has many errors but it's a good starting place. I am very interested in what book you have and where to purchase it. Thanks. Barbara
I would also like to see the list. Thanks for the offer. Barbara
Marylin, While asking about the Starr/Hatfield Cemetery how about a Pigeon Creek Cemetery? That is the name that it is suppose to be. So far after years of searching this cemetery remains not found. k -----Original Message----- From: Marilyn Horn <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, May 23, 2000 11:28 PM Subject: Re: [WVMINGO] does any one know of a Starr family cemetary in Belo,WV? Barbra, Have you seen the Logan County History, it does have some mention of Issac Brewer who married Sally Roarke. I can check my things also to see if I have anything on the Brewers. This is part of my side of the Meade Family. k -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, May 24, 2000 9:55 AM Subject: [WVMINGO] Isaac Breawer Sr >Diane, > >This is exciting.
