    3. Ann, My name is Harry E. Meade. My Father was Wendell E. Meade and Grandfather was General Wayne Meade. Amanda Meade Brewer was a Great Aunt and from what I understand she did an extensive geneology for the family. How do you fit into this scheme? I was wondering if any of you might know about it. I heard that it was called Marcum Cemetery. Its near Delbarton. I remember to get to it you left Delbarton as if you were going to Matewan. You go past Birch High School (I remember my mother always pointing out were the school was) down a little ways and to your left was a holler that went down to Pigeon Creek where my Grandmother ( Roxie Slone) lived. Farther down there was a road to your right that started up Buffalo Mountain. Some where on this road on the right is the Cemetery. My Grandmother is buried there and I know my Uncle Garnel Slone is there too. Everything is over grown and you can't see the cemetery from the road. Does anyone have any idea how far up this road it would be? Kim

    3. Would anyone on this list have any information on a John L. Dingess (b. 4/4/1914) or his wife Sadie "Lake" Cantrell (b. 3/18/1916)? They had lived most of their lives in Wharncliffe, WV. Although they are my husband's grandparents, we don't have much info about them because his mom was raised by John's sister.

    1. [WVMINGO] HELP, lost family research to fire
    2. Ann Meade
    3. I am asking for any help that the list might be able to give. In February we lost everything to a devestating fire, furnishing were easy to replace. My years of family research can't be replaced as easy. The disks in our safety deposit box had not been updated in months.. Any information on the following surnames will help so much. Thank you Ann Meade This is mostly from memory: William Bingham Meade, Davis, Rutherford, Spaulding, Baker, Booth/Boothe, Vance, Wiley, Pack, Workman, Perry... William Bingham Meade> William Jr Branch Moses Workman Families Thomas and Jenny Shellards Wiley Families

    3. I Printed that to save for reference. I found it very interesting however I found that a lot of it did not match up with mine. For example: James son of William JR, I have as marrying Cela and having 2 children, Joseph and Mary Ann (Polly). They are in the Logan county census. Also Children of John Lewis Davis and Betty Jackson do not list a few of the younger children, including my grandfather. Thomas Davis, oldest child of this family was adopted by John Lewis. He was the son of Betty Jackson and a Duncan from Town. Are you still working on this line? Sherry
