Patti, I could be wrong but I think Shaw, WV was one of the town that disappeared in preparation of the Randolph Jennings Dam. Lacy may have to look at the history books of the area to find information about Shaw. Pat, I think that when the water is low at the lake that some of the foundations can still be seen. An Uncle told us that the houses were still standing when the built the lake. The book Ghost towns of the Upper Potamac have an article on Shaw WV. The Garrett Co Genealogical society did have those books. The library in Oakland might have a copy of the book also.
