There are 4 known children and POSSIBLY OTHERS per Bittinger. There is a Samuel Leatherman living in Hardy Co., VA in 1840 3 houses from Elijah. Could he be another child of Lewis? Samuel Leatherman aged 20-30 (b 1810-1820) white woman 20-30 1 wife? " " 15-20 1 sister or other relative? COULD THIS BE DELILAH??? b: 1820-1825 " " under 5 child? My Delilah married Franklin George Staggs in 1844 in hampshire Co., VA. I believe he was related to Elizabeth Staggs somehow.
