Hi, My sister in law's mother was born in Elk Garden in 1915 (she didn't know where she was born & I found this on Ancestry with her father's draft registration) The address on this was Rte 1, Box 63, Elk Garden Can anyone tell the the location of this address? Thanks, Patti

Patti, Do you think the Elk Garden Post Office would know where the location is? Although, now I think all Maryland addresses have been changed to street addresses for 911 emergency. Nevertheless, they still might have the old records. Just a thought. Patti, my grandparents address was Rt.1, Box 102 and they lived in Sulphur. So it would be somewhere between Elk Garden and Sulphur. If you could get in touch with Dixon Ridder or "Joseph Dixon Ridder", I'm sure he would know where this box # is. He carried the mail and maybe still does. Look his phone # up in the phone book.
