Patti I have, for some time now, been trying to find information about my Mother's (Alverta [or Alberta] Lucille McDonald) Father, Edward McDonald. He married Clara Belle Warnick and resided in Elk Garden, WV. They had several children who were parceled out after their Mother's death in her mid-40s. My Mother was sent to live with her sister, Orpha McDonald Norris in Huntingdon County, PA. All my Mother really knows of her Father's past was that her sister, Orpha, referred to a relative of his as Mad Calf. She was told that her Father was the son of an indian man and a white woman and that he was placed in a family by the name of McDonald. Can you please help me find out a little more or direct me to how to go about it. This has always been a big blank in my Mother's life and I would like her to know before she passes away. They would never talk about the background because it was considered shameful.
