Hi Folks I would appreciate contact with anyone who can provide information about the family of Warner J. Taylor, shown in the 1880 census as living in Welton District of Mineral County. So far I have the following information, some of which is unconfirmed: a, Warner J. Taylor, born about 1800; m. Margaret A. High, believed to be a dau of John and Mary Smith High on 10/26/1863; Living children in 1880: Charles E; John D; Sarah T; Dille Wiggins. b. Dille Wiggins Taylor, born about 1868; m. Nettie M. High, believed to be a dau of Northman P. and Mary Liller High, about 1876. Have sketchy information about this family. c. A recently recovered tombstone, which had fallen into the grave at a cemetery in Purgitsville, WV, near the homesite of John and Mary Smith High, is inscribed: Margaret A. Taylor, Died Feb 24, 1905, Aged 72 yrs. 11 mos. 11 das. Could this be the wife of Warner J. Taylor? Hoping to find more details about the Taylor/High relationships. Many thanks Martin B.
