I had ancestors there from the late 1790s to the 1830s. Some descendants are still there, but mine left ca 1830s. Surnames - Fleek, Umstadt/Umstot, Leatherman, Hershman, & maybe Good/Gut. Thanks. Helen Pat, I have a copy of the Sesqui_Centential of Frankfurt, Mineral County, West Virginia. July 29, 30, 31, 1938. Its blue. Its not for sell, belonged to my grandmother, and grandfather, they helped organize the fanfare. I can share though. It's many pages long (80 pages). I'll inquire to see if I can get it copied in a pdf format. ==== WVMINERA Mailing List ==== GENEALOGY IS A RELATIVE THING! ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived. My grandmother was a Welch/Liken/VanBuskirk, of Isaac Welch line, and my Grandfather was from Christopher Columbus Martin, sr, Jr, Thomas Athey,Leatherman... I'm trying to get a copy made of this pamphlet, but copyright problems at the copier store.
