Boy I have found mistakes worse than 3 years off on an age. I found my grandmother listed as the youngest child at age 1 in the 1900 census when she was actually 10. My father, Clint Alvy Pierce, should have been 8 in the 1920 census. Instead he was listed as Clint age 7 and Alvy age 8!!!! So you have to evaluate the census info and sometimes just use it as a guideline. Carol in Northridge, CA
