And Oakland has not been a place where they were known to be. What I do know is that my Michael Kearney died in 1877 and is buried in Mount Savage. His wife, Ellen Cosgrove Kearney moved to Cumberland and lived with her daughter Anna McHugh until her death in 1898. Anna, the eldest child of Michael/Ellen, lived in Cumberland until her death in 1927/8. William, the next child moved to Youngstown, OH prior to 1900 and died there in 1916. His sister, Mary Ellen, married Frank Flood and moved to Youngstown also where she died in 1913 (I think). John, the next in line disappears after the 1880 census (he was in Mount Savage then). Family lore says he married an Ellen Logsdon, but I haven't found proof of that. So, he would be a possible. And, their fifth child, my gf, Michael Patrick left the area and was superintendant of fort construction for the US gov. In that role he moved all over the country until his death near Boston in 1922. Possibly John or his children were the ones you mention. Do you have more info?
