Patti, Thank you so much for all your hard work in bringing these articles to us. I just loved the item about the doctor who, in July 1911, predicted that smoking and chewing of tobacco in public would become obsolete within 15 years. If he only knew! It has taken almost 100 years, but we are working on it. We are just about rid of the smoke in public places; now, if we could just rid ourselves of the chewing and spitting. Of course, it doesn't harm the health of others, but seeing someone spit that vile brown mixture of tobacco and saliva is disgusting. Thank God there aren't too many of them around. Elaine
