There is a book that was reprinted in 1996 entitled: _Major General Thomas Maley Harris ... a member of the Military Commission that tried the President Abraham Lincoln assassination conspirators... and Roster of the 10th West Virginia Volunteer Infantry Regiment, 1861-1865_ by H. E. Matheny Main Street Books in Keyser had copies of it two years ago when I purchased by copy. Also, a cousin of mine purchased his copy from www.amazon.com On page 275 is the following: Sgt. William Turner, Swanton, W. Va., 22. Mustered at Piedmont May 19, 1862. Died May 10, 1863, at Winchester, of disease. You can write to the National Archives and receive a copy of his military records. You must use the proper form, however. I used to have the internet page for the National Archives in DC, but no longer have it. Hopefully, someone on this list can help you with it. Hope this helps, Lonny ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 09, 2000 10:00 AM Subject: [WVMINERA] Co.
