The LDS Family History Library has filmed the chancery orders for Mineral Co. (Vols. 1-2 1866-1885 (v. 2 to p. 89) - FHL US/CAN Film 1845323) --that might give you what you need, if you don't live too far away from a Family History Center. Is there anyone that has access of looking up this record at the Mineral Co.Courthouse? Is anyone researching these families or can some one tell me how they are related? This deed also mentions a subsequent decree made 5-14-1875 confirming a sale to AC Wagoner. Sounds like someone sold some property twice? Or they were not sure who owned it? However, I am movivated to write you since the home (coming from Keyser) before the Fleek home was owned by ancestors of mine. It recently was sold by Hines heirs and is now a parking lot for a construction co. It was also originally a log home. I don't have my references before me, so I will have to give approx. dates. My gr-gr-gr-grandfather Solomon purchased it in the 1st half of the 1800's, so if it was log, it was probably built bef 1800. I don't even know if the person he purchased it from was the orig. builder. One of the Ellifritzes' daughters married a Rogers, my uncle who raised their family there and then was left to a dau who married a Hines. I remember the Susan Fleek house well, as when I was a child I used to stay nextdoor with the Hines children. Good luck in your s earches. I'm so glad "Miss Susie's" house was not demolished as was the Ellifritz & Rogers. I have received an email regarding Genealogy Surname post requests in the Keyser Newspaper. I had stopped receiving requests, and haven't done this in a while. If you have not posted a prior request, and are interested in doing so, email me and I will try to get a column together. Patti mincowv@frontiernet.net
Hi All, Do any Fleek(Flick) , Daniel(s), Whiteman, descendants have any pictures from our ancestors (or know of anyone that might have pictures) It would make all my work worthwhile to see one face from MY past. Patti
Does anyone have a website for the WVU newspapers collection and the current online newspapers?
Does anyone have a web site for Potomac State College or the Mineral Daily News or maybe it is the Keyser Times now? I am looking for some obituaries archives. Pat

Hi All, I also talked Mike into stopping at two other cemeteries along Rte 50 Sunday. There was a cemetery around New Creek that is "new", I'm calling it the Pancake cemetery, as this appears to be the first person buried there. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvminera/pancakecem.htm Also, we visited Claysville and took some pictures. http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvminera/claysville.html Patti
