I have been thinking about this, and knew I had something, but couldn't locate it until now. First, I have a recent ALK, with handwritten notes about updates. But, I didn't find it there, though I did update myself a bit. Note - the one you are calling Della, who married George Staggs, was called Delilah in a deed or other paperwork to do with her father Peter's estate. I wrote this years ago, to Richard Eakins, a descendant of Delilah & Frank Staggs: By accident I found another Delilah - ALK, 1994, p. 438! She was the daughter of Daniel J. Leatherman and Elizabeth Staggs who md. on Aug 25, 1822. Nothing further on her. She is not indexed; no children who are not carried on are indexed. Siblings: Martha, Solomon, Abe, Mary, Bill, Margaret, Nancy. Could this be your Delilah? He had written: My great grandmother was Sarah A. Staggs and her sister was Eliza Staggs and they married brothers (Wm Eakins and John Eakins) and are all 4 buried in Hennessey, Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. A followup: In the 1880 census Lyon, Lewis County, Missouri it shows William S. Flick as 52 and Delilah as 55, John J. 20 and William L. Flick as 15. This may not be exact; but it is showing Delilah a little older than William S. Would just about fit for William to be 21 in 1850. I have thought for a long time that Frank Staggs, Delilah first husband was probably about a 2nd cousins or something like that to Delilah. Thanks for the e-mail's. Richard The age of this Delilah fits with the date of marriage of Daniel J. Leatherman and Elizabeth Staggs. Daniel J was the son of Peter L. and Elizabeth Stover. Charles, The Elizabeth Stover you mentioned was the wife of Peter Leatherman. They had a daughter Della born April 9,1809 who married Feb. 1,1844, George Staggs Jr. born Feb. 17,1807. She died June 24,1897 and he Feb. 5,1880. Ron

Charles, I believe her parents were Joseph and Debotha (Roberts) Leatherman. She first married Franklin Staggs and when he died in Dec of 1849 she married William S. Flick. Her and William and her children from the first marriage moved to Lewis County, Missouri. Ron
