Too bad you can't make a trip to the Old Fort at Fort Ashby, WV. There are some interesting things you'd learn at the Fort regarding Capt. John Ashby of French & Indian War fame. I believe there is another 250th celebration being planned in the fall. What STREETS line are you researching? My gr-great grandmother was ELIZABETH STREETS, born about 1825 in Virginia, married JOHN MURPHY on Dec. 5, 1844 in Mineral, Virginia. I have no information about her family and would like to know who her parents were. Elizabeth and John Murphy moved to Missouri in 1856 or so. I do have most of her children's information, but not Elizabeth and John's death date or place. That's why I am curious to learn which STREETS family you are researching.
