I am researching the family of James Brown. He emigrated from Ireland around 1848 and lived in Piedmont until his death in 1868. His children James Brown, Patrick Brown, Phillip Brown, Margaret "Maggie" Brown Healy and Nellie "Ellen" Brown Davis (and spouses) raised large families in Mineral County. They were primarily in the Elk Garden area. I am also researching the family of Martin Joseph and Anne Burke who lived in Piedmont until their deaths around 1900. Thanks, Patrick Warner
