Thanks very much for all the emails and prayers. This has been a very traumatic time for us, my mom had gone to the hospital to have an outpatient angioplasty done, and was supposed to come home with me 4 hours later. Her artery was punctured during the procedure and she bled profusely (had to receive 18 units of blood), and since then had every complication imaginable. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated by my family and myself. Patti HOW DO YOU LIVE YOUR DASH? I read of a man who stood to speak At the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on her tombstone From the beginning...to the end. He noted that first came her date of birth And spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all Was the dash between those years. (l920-2000) For that dash represents all the time That she spent alive on earth... And now only those who loved her Know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own; The cars...the house...the cash, What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our dash. So think about this long and hard... Are there things you'd like to change? For you never know how much time is left, That can still be rearranged. If we could just slow down enough To consider what's true and real, And always try to understand The way other people feel. And be less quick to anger, And show appreciation more And love the people in our lives Like we've never loved before. If we treat each other with respect, And more often wear a smile... Remembering that this special dash Might only last a little while. So, when your eulogy's being read With your life's actions to rehash... Would you be proud of the things they say About how you spent your dash? Author Unknown Lillian M. Miller March 2, 1920 - October 11, 2000 Rest In Peace
I've just posted Paula Tilson's Sept 1, 1911 Tribune Articles to the Mineral County USGenWeb Page. You can view them at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvminera/keynews.htm Enjoy! Patti

I am looking for any info on a Rebecca Catherine Simmons or Burns. She had a son named Oscar L Brady on 6/7/1902 and I have it as being in Riverton WV. Oscar married a Alice Blondella Lechliter. When she died he married an Arvilla Virginia Amtower Harvey. I was told that Rebecca married a William Allan Brady. But don't know if that is true or not. If anyone can help me please let me know. I am really stumped here. Thanks Shirley [email protected]
Can anyone tell me exactly where the Monnett Cemetary is located on Route 28 between Short Gap and Wiley Ford. There is a small cemetery of Detrict Road near Dead Man's Curve of four Monnetts. This one also has Lechliters in it. - --------------------------------------------------- Bill Pyles, Titusville, FL --New e-mail address: [email protected] and new area code (321)269-9534. The old area code will not work.

Mark, The 1860 Census lists Joseph as 14 and living with his parents William and Malinda. The 1870 Census is on the Mineral County page but is not indexed. I did not check it for Joseph when I searched it. Mineral County Births lists Margaret Wagoner b. 10/16/1879 at Dan's Run - parents Joseph and Margaret Media F. Wagoner b. 2/19/1884 at Alaska (Frankfort/Fort Ashby) - Joseph and Martha Jane Joseph Wagoner b. 8/31/1889 at Roundbottom - Joseph and Jane Florence Wagoner b. 4/16/1891 at Roundbottom - Joseph and Jane Wilson Wagoner b. 7/17/1895 at Roundbottom - Joseph and Martha Seifers Wagoner b. 1898 at Frankfort - Joseph and Martha [email protected]
Mark, I don't have a Fred in that time frame but I do have Joseph b. abt 1846 and 2 daughters Margaret and Amanda. Margaret was born about 1879. There may have been more children. I have quite a bit on the Waggoners if this turns out to be who you are looking for. John Michael Waggoner Joseph Waggoner and Nancy Atkinson William A. Waggoner and Malinda Rankin Joseph (b. abt 1846) and Martha Emily Jane Kerns Sharon Knotts [email protected]
Does anyone have a Frederick "Fred" Wagoner/Wagner in their database? Fred appears in the 1900 Mineral Co census (Frankfort District). He was 18 at the time, and still living with his parents and siblings. I believe that his father was named either Josiah or Joseph. Thanks, Mark Holt.
Bill, Good one! All the clowns out of work, and it figures they'd be Mineral County researchers. LOL Thanks for the correction, and I'm taking this as a volunteer to be my official editor. And no - even though I look and feel it - I'm not that old! (she says knowing she's leaving herself open for a comment from Redds ) I've changed internet providers, my new email address is: [email protected] Patti
Patti McDonald, Your private e-mail address is not working. I don't believe you are old enough to have transcribed the the September 15, 1911 Keyser Tribune on "TRANSCRIBED OCTOBER 1, 1911 BY PATTI MCDONALD."
