Ok, so I have a very odd situation and need any advice on how to go about figureing this out. My grandmother had a lot of children. Dates rangin from 1919-1935 (that I know of) I only have the birth cert for 2 of them, because they could not find the originial at the county level. But they did find it listed in the books, with the parents names. Ok so 1919-1927 was listed with the same father and mother. But the Catcher is the father died in 1927. So for the years of 1928-1931 it still lists the same father, even for he was deceased. Well I say it is the same father. 1919 the father is listed with first, middle and lasted and then the others are just first an last name.Anyway it then comes to my father who has 2 birth cert and 2 records in the books. One under one last name with no father listed and the other under another name with a different father listed. My problem is how do I go about finding out why the father is listed for these births after he had died. Thanks for any input. Kim

Tammy, In "Mineral County Family Traits, Tracks, and Trails" there is a "Family bio" on an Ernest Denton Dawson. He was the son of Henry Clay Dawson and Eliza Jane Major. He married Pansy Sneathen in May 1921. It lists his brothers and sisters. If you feel that there is a connection, let me know and I will give you the rest of the information. His parents are Thomas H. Dawson 1867-1937 and Nora Iser Dawson 1877-1964. I don't know who is brothers and sisters are. I have been looking for the Dawson for years. I also have the name Zella Dawson born march 22 1898 deid sept 19 1983 (I don't know if she is related or if she is how.)

Isaiah Burkett (1804-79) and his wife Margaret Patterson had a daughter named Martha, but she was born 1851. Isaiah was the third son, fifth child of Thomas Burkett (1776-1846) and Elizabeth Allen (1776-1865) of Hampshire Co. I have a lot on the Burketts as this is one of my Hampshire-Mineral lines, but nothing of a marriage to a George Thomas. Sorry I could not help more.
