Thank you, Lee. My Robert Stewart s/o William Stewart Jr. was from Franklin Co., VA originally and settled in what became Mercer Co. ca. 1820s or before. There is no connection with the Ralph Stewart clan. The Elias you mention was not part of my family to my knowledge. I have hit brick walls in looking for marriage data on Robert and Mary as well as Elias and Rececca married ca. 1843 in Mercer probably. Thank you for checking.
