I know very little of the man. I had a lead on a Willie Vince Wilson born 1871. (Note the names Willie and Vince) His parents were John Wilson and Elizabeth. At the time of the 1880 census he had 5 siblings Sarah (11), Freeman (7), Rhonda M. (5), Thomas( 2) and Jennie (1) but I have no confirmation that this is the same person that was Floyd Vince and Willie Sue's father. My Grandfather Floyd (Vince) was 2 when George married Alice. By all accounts George adopted him and his sister Willie Sue. I'm not sure if the adoption was of the legal nature or not. In the 1900 census Floyd and Willie Sue are listed as son and daughter not step. Two other children are listed Lillie M. and Willis E. Willis was killed in a train accident which Floyd was witness to and felt responsible for, they were 14 and 17 respectively.
