Breeden, 65, of Matoaka, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at her home after a short battle with cancer. Born October 2, 1943 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Paul Bailey and Daisy Marie Gillenwater Bailey. She was a homemaker and a member of Rich Creek Baptist Church at Spanishburg. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel (Buddy) Breeden, Sr. of the home; two daughters, Trena Linkous and her husband, Gary, of Hiawatha, Connie Shrewsbury and her husband, Harold, of Spanishburg; one son, Daniel Breeden, Jr. of Matoaka; five grandchildren, R.J. Linkous, Amanda Shrewsbury, Daryn Harmon, Tanner and Danielle; one great-grandson; three sisters, Janet Fox and her husband, Lacy, of Pocahontas, Va., Aloma Kegley of North Carolina and Ramona Hudgins of Montcalm; two brothers, Jack Bailey and his companion, Shirley, of Kegley and Ralph Bailey of Parkersburg. Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the Rev. Ralph Calfee officiating. Friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton by 1:45 p.m. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
