Hello,   I hope I am not doing anything wrong with this post. One response is all I need to know not to do it again.   This e-mail is concerning the Martin-Fisher Cemetery in Pembroke, Va. In the last 4 years my sister and I have lost several family members. The latest was our Aunt Phyllis Martin Hancock, daughter of Robert Orbe and Gloie Virginia Hilton Martin. We lost our grandmother the next month after the passing of her daughter. To get on with my message…My sister, nephew, husband and I went to Pembroke to check out the cemetery after Blue-Jay Stevers passed away he was the keeper of the cemetery. It was in the most horrible state. As the four of us went in and made a task of cleaning, it took us 3 weekends in a row to clean the brush and get the ground where it could be mowed.   This week we went back to the cemetery to start the process all over. The cemetery both the Martin and the Fisher side are ready for decoration this holiday or birthdays etc. I have a request if anyone is reading this and has family buried in either part of the cemetery to please contact me or my sister and give us information on who your family is and if you know of someone buried there that has no marker and can give us a guess on where they maybe buried so new can mark their grave or add them to a memorial we are planning we would appreciate the information.
