Sorry, list, for the morbid subject. It is said my grandfather William Taylor Lawson d 1953, Rock, Mercer Co. wanted to be buried "with his babies". There were 8 who died between 1916 and 1935. Few lived past the age of 4. Would he have been allowed to bury these bodies and his on his land? I think if it was legal there would not have been such secrecy about it over the years of his generation? Anyone have any thoughts? I have never been able to find his grave site. I have all the docs, death certs, funeral home records, etc. They all say the same thing - Lawson Cemetery, Matoaka. There is no such place, at least not that I have found after 15 years of searching. Thanks for any input. Glenda this is gonna be interesting to find out more. I did hear a few months ago that a guy was buried beside his barn on the eastern edge of our county line, near the New River. This sort of thing may be possible. I'm gonna follow this thread close. Keep us all informed on what you learn.
