Linda, I wonder if you would see if there are any Mabe's listed in the Historical books. My ggrandfather Joseph Anderson Mabe and his wife Sophia moved to the Tazwell area sometime between 1875 and 1877 with their children. Sophia Died in Tazwell Oct 1877 and her husband disapeared from records that I can find. Their children migrated to Mercer Co. and their descendants still live there. The children's names aare William R. Mabe, Maratha Jane Mabe b- abt 1860, Lee Thomas Mabe b Sept 1853, John Henry Maabae b-July 1855, Mary Elizabeth Mabe b abt 1858, Joseph Anderson Jr. b-abt 1850, George Mabe b- abt 1863, Clemmie b- abt 1865, Peter Columbus (Lum) Mabe b-abt 1866, Jesse Terry Mabe b-abt 1869. If you are any other lister know any information about these people or their descendants I would appreciate hearing from you.
