Dorothy, I just got an e-mail from Bob that said he checked and the books are no longer available. They were both published by the Mercer County Historical Society, one in 1984 and one in 1987. The contain information - probably some incorrect - from people that live in the county and submitted the information to the Historical Society, along with some other information that was probably in the Historical Society's records. The is considerable information in the books about French and Clay families. Especially about the Clay children that were attacked by Indians. Linda,Roanoke,VA
