For Linda from Roanoke - regarding the Mercer County Books. Can you tell me something about these books and where they can be purchased? I am researching the Mitchell Clay and Matthew French families of Giles and Mercer Counties. If the books contain information about these early pioneer families, I would like to purchase one. Are they different editions of the same book? Are they the typical county histories published by local historical/geanealogical societies. Usually they cost abt $60 - I don't want to make the investment if there is no information about my families. Thanks to you or anyone else for advice and info.
