Sandy, I believe (and several other researchers have suggested) that Gatliff's Bottom did become Crumps Bottom, but I can't say for sure. I know that my ancestors lived at Bent Mountain, and in the Pipestem area. According to the afforementioned book, Gatliff's bottom was on New River. Thanks for your help. Jon Christian
