Looking for info and/or descendants of James PRUNTY [b.c. 1780 VA-d. July 30, 1854 VA], son of Robert & Frances PRUNTY married [Dec 25, 1817 Franklin Co. VA] Tabitha HALL [b.c. 1796 VA-d. June 1880 Mercer Co., VA] They were living in Abbs Valley, Tazewell Co., VA at the time of the death of James. In the 1860 census Mercer Co., VA, Beaver Pond, Princeton P.O., Ransom Prunty 26,son, had Tabitha 58, Matilda J. 21, Sarah 18, & Harrison 13 living with him. Known children of James & Tabitha were: [1] Nancy [b.c.1828]; [2] Randolph [b.c. 1831]; [3] Polly [b.c. 1833]; [4] Ransom [b.c. 1835]; [5] William [b.c.1837]; [6] Matilda [b.c. 1839] [family line]; [7] Sally [b.c. 1843]; [8] Almira [b.c.1845]; [9] Gordon [b.c.1849]. Wythe Co., VA marriage reg. 1817-1853 lists: ACLES, Havens to Rhoda Frances PRUNTY, dau of James PRUNTY 11/16/1837. This must be another daughter of James & Tabitha PRUNTY.
