It is great to be a descendant of those early pioneers. Later I will attach what I have on these families. Course there may be errors etc: Much of this was researched by Rev. Goode. Those listed and buried in that cemetery are a great help. I am compiling "Pioneer Settlers of Wyoming County" and hope to have available for print next summer. I would love to have a copy of this photograph. I have a 92 year old Godfrey aunt who would love to see this photograph. Please let me know what the expense will be. I cannot copy if off of the computer here. I have no copier. Thanks for this offer. I have been told that there is a photograph of Harrison Henderson Bailey out there. Does anyone have access to the early tax records of Mercer County starting in 1837? My Ancester John Ganoe/Gonos/Gunnoe was in Monroe County where he died in 1836 or in Mercer County between 1837 and 1840. His oldest son is listed in the census of Mercer for 1840. I am trying to find out what year he died and thought the personal property tax records or deeds might show when his land was transferred to his son Daniel. Any hints from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Judy Gunnoe ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
