Marriage record from McDowell County, 9th May 1906, he was 66, she was 40. He listed his parents on license as : Adam and Fannie, she listed her parents as Charles and Ann. (Charles Adkins and Ann Collins) George was born in Bedford Co Virginia and she was born in Giles Co Virginia. Lived at Eckman when married. I believe Adam Taylor and Fannie (Frances Newman) were George's parents. I believe Alice was married to a Wilson, Taylor and Walker - I have been trying to tie in the Totten, there is definitely a connection. When I visited Janice Taylor McKenzie, she told me someone in the family had a big picture that hung on the wall of George Taylor and John Totten. She did not know who had it at the time of my visit. I believe Janice's daughter had started tracing the Taylor's but I believe she has traced the wrong George Taylor. Our George Taylor was a "doctor", herbal medicine.
