Geneva Edna Green, 85, of Welch-Pineville Road, died Friday 1-8-99 at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem NC Born 6-30-1913 in Caretta, she was the daughter of the late James and Minnie Plemmons Beeman. She had resided on the Welch Pineville Road for the pst 67 years. She was of the Baptist faith and attended the Antioch Regular Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton David Green; two sons, Clinton Donald Green and Paul Harley Green; one sister, Hazel Blevins; and four brothers, Charles, Clarennce, Audie and Paul Beeman. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edward Dorsie Lee Burks of Statesville NC, Mrs. Robert Jean Toothman of Charleston, and Mrs. David Erma Joann Woods of Candler NC; a foster daughter, Drema Carol Bishop of Simon; three sons, Clayton Darrell Green of Harmony NC, Bert Vernon Green of Harmony NC, Lawrence Kenneth Green of Winston-Salem; a foster son, J.D. Mullins of Lennor, Mich; three brothers, Raymond Beeman of Jefferson City TN, Julian Lee Beeman of Blacksburg VA, and Oscar M Beeman of Princeton WV; 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great-great-grand child. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 1-11-99 at 1 p.m. from Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with Elders Eddie Cline and Cecil Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Elkhorn Church Cemeterey, Belcher Mountain, near Maitland. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
