Very cordial employees. Yes, there is someone there to assist you. Yes, they do have census records; they are on 35 mm film which they will load for you to view. You make the copies as you view them (they are $.25 per copy) and you pay a cashier when you are ready to leave the library. I don't know about the other records you asked about, but I also viewed (on film, of course) old newspapers. Very interesting. The courthouse in Welch is also an excellent source for marriage, death and birth records. They are open from 9 - 5. They will also make copies of records for you, but I think their rate is about $2.
