Sandy: Unfortunately, the SMITH surname that I am researching are from Tazewell County, Va. My SMITH line came here to McDowell County when my Gr-grandpa Caleb Smith was a young boy. His parents were John and Ellen White Smith. John died in Tazewell County and then the family came here. Ellen remarried to James Addair. They are burried in the cemetery on Cranebrake (I think that's what they call it). Sorry I couldn't have been of any further help. Heather pearlvjuel@aol.com
