Searching for a death record or proof that this man owned property in McDowell Co. WV. Does anybody have access to death records or deed books and can do a look up for me? John W. Collins b. 1797 VA/TN d. after 1870 probably McDowell first wife Lydia Toner mar 1821 Grainger Co. TN second wife Mary Roark ( no record found but is listed with him on 1860&70 census) children#1 John W.Jr., William, Benjamin, Jacob, Cecil, Ira, & Margaret children#2 Alfred, Arnetta, and Richard ( my line) John is believed to lived along the area of Big Sandy River and Tug Fork. His brother William Collins b. 1806 owned and operated a Gristmill in that area and John & Mary lived close by.
