Hi to ALL, All my BISHOPS came from McDowell Co. WV and Wyoming Co. WV before Civil War. My father, Jessie BISHOP was bn. in McDowell Co. 1899 to William Bishop and Mary Elizabeth SHORT. My father, Jessie BISHOP mar. Lula JOHNSON in 1920 in McDowell Co. WV. Lula JOHNSON was dau/o Robert Green JOHNSON and Mary Nancy PHILLIPS. The JOHNSON and PHILLIPS families were from Carroll Co. VA. I have a 1860 First Census Book of McDowell Co. WV if anyone needs a look-up. I haven't heard anything since May 1998 about the publishing of a McDowell Co. Heritage book. Does anyone know if they are still accepting family stories to be published in the upcoming book or have they already started publishing the book? Thanks, Doug in Columbus, Ohio
