Greetings to our MASON COUNTY list members. I was made aware of a spam message which had infiltrated our list. I can assure each and everyone of you that it did not come through with my permission. I have final approval of messages which do not meet certain genealogical guidelines. I get a daily summary of them and delete everyone that tries to breach our list. I want to personally thank the lady who brought this to my attention. I wrote her personally and reassured her of my continual monitoring of these type of breaches. As another member mentioned to me the RootsWeb system gets hit with these every single day. Their computers attempt to screen all such posts, but inevitably they get through. What I ask you to do is to bring them to my personal attention, and DO NOT RESPOND to them personally. They get your address and will then begin hacking your mailbox. There are at least five to ten of these hitting the blocking system everyday. I review them daily and always trash 100% of them.
