If someone is selling 1950 Census data, it is a scam. The US Government State Department handles US Passports. They do not sell Census data. The National Archives has the microfilmed US Census. The 1930 census and before are available at the National Archives, through Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest. Some local census are available on the Internet by local genealogy groups. Ron Bestrom
