Born Jan. 10, 1914 in Mason, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Gertrude Bays. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, George W. Spencer, in 1975, and later by her daughter Frances Jacobs and by a son Franklin Spencer. She is survived by one daughter and four sons, Glendel Blackburn of Columbus, George Spencer of Georgia, Richard and Clyde Spencer, both of Arizona, and Wayne Spencer of Bremen, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at Concord Cemetery 342 Jim Hill Road Henderson, W.Va. Waugh-Halley- Wood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
