Cynthia and Listers.... I'd appreciate any info on this Walter Charles Lucas fellow as well. I have an obscure gr grandmother whose name was Catherine Gilpin. At one time she was married to a Charles Lucas (they were married 1876 in Wood County) and had children Martin, Ike, and Mandy. At some point she married Henry Miller of Mason County and they lived in Mason. With Henry she had William (died unmarried) and Rachel (who was my great grandmother; married to Thomas Gorrell and lived in northern Jackson County) I beleive that my Catherine and her Charles were divorced, but I cant prove that. I have little further information on any of these folks...its a more than a brick wall. Its a brick prison!
