What I did, was film the old indexes. Then I spent 18 months putting all 22,000+ individuals into a database. Then I printed out a hard copy, and spent another two weeks at the clerk's office, comparing the original licenses against the index info I had. Found over 300 marriages which were not in the index, and tons of corrections. Spent another year putting all that into my database, to arrive at the very first complete and concise index ever done, of all those earliest marriages. Clearfield Co. published it in 1997, and it has been out of print for over a year, now. That's why I have negotiated a special reprint with the co., with a cutoff date of Labor Day; they need a minimum of 30 books ordered, to do a reprint--so far, I have orders for 21. Julie
