    3. I have noticed that more than several people are looking for their ancestry in the same states that I am searching. Was there a route that the majority of immigrants took in search of a homestead? I notice (not in this specific order) that alot are looking in Kentucky, Tennessee,West/VA / VA, Ohio, Illinois and some Indiana. It seems to me Ilinois might be the last stop before spreading west, like Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. If someone has already figured this out I wish you'd let me know. Many thanks Tom Hughes

    3. You are so correct on this theory. I have found mine all over the country. Even some of the Hughes. They came to IN from W.Va. and some returned back to W.Va.. Causing some of us to really hunt for them. My grandfather Hughes and his twin, plus some of their sisters. Have another line of Hughes that I can not find other than VA.
