On the Mason County page there is a section entitled "Soldiers at the Battle of Point Pleasant." Among the privates listed as killed is the following: _________ Clay Does anyone know the source or sources for this bit of information? I am trying to find documentation by someone other than John Stuart, historian of the battle & himself a participant. It is generally thought that ___ Clay is actually William Mitchell Clay. I have not found him listed on any rosters of the day. David, Ezekiel, & Mitchell Clay are listed as participants of the historic Battle of Point Pleasant. These are the sons of William Mitchell Clay & none of them perished during the battle. Thank you in advance for any information. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Mike Peters [email protected]
